Thanks to that amazing guitar/mandolin player and singer Pete Harris for
turning up at our first Lazy Sunday afternoon jam session at The Albion in Wimborne,
that turned it into something special! Next one’s May 11th. ...................................................................
Thanks also to the many folks that gave my first gig at Minehead such a good
start! Pink Floyd tribute band Breathe transformed the ballroom and put on an
amazing show. They are rebooked for September. Word will get round about this
great new venue after the enthusiastic reception for Breathe. Don’t miss
the next show there on 21st May featuring Jinder playing his Bob Dylan show, tickets
available now from venue or see above. ...................................................................
It was wonderful for Harry and I to have the chance to be able to play
2 gigs for legendary Muddy Waters harp player Mojo Buford and his great drummer
Doug McMinn. Mojo was a lovely feller, very smiley and both him and Doug were
extremely complimentary to us. It was the first time in 6+ years (since the demise
of The Producers) that we had played electric guitars together and gave us the
oppportunity to dust off some stuff we hadn’t played in all that time.
‘Be Careful’, ‘Crossroads’,‘You don’t Love
me’, an electric version of ‘Walking Blues’ and a couple of
others. There was certainly a few misty eyes when we played ‘Love, Food and
Water’ once again, almost like the old times and great fun! But we’re
still not reforming, we’ve got no need to. ...................................................................
